Role: Lead Director of Student Ministries

Friendswood United Methodist Church is seeking a full-time Lead Director of Student Ministries. We are looking someone with a heart for Christ and a passion for students; someone who is biblically grounded, evangelical in theology to lead students to become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Candidates will need to possess strong leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with students and parents; someone who is outgoing, creative, an engaging preacher/teacher and a vision for a vibrant ministry to students and their families.

Role: Part-time Youth Director

This person will minister to our 6th-12th grades students.  We have a small youth group, but our youth are hungry for the word and ready to dive into the Bible.  Our goal is for this person to build relationships with the youth, be a support for them, and disciple them into a deeper relationship with Christ.  This position would be overseen by the Director of Program Ministries. Role: Director of Youth Ministry

Our mission is to help ourselves and others take the next step in their faith journey with Christ.  We believe those ‘next steps’ lead us to raising a generation in faith by: fostering fluency in faith, creating a community of high expectations, instilling a sense of calling beyond self and learning to see and share where God is active in our lives. 

Our youth program is defined as 7th thru 12th grades.  The youth ministry currently includes both Sunday and Wednesday night activities as well as retreats, small groups, mission trips and district/conference activities.  The youth ministry and the Youth Director are supported by a group of adults and parents called the Youth Planning Team.  The Youth Director will be supervised by the Senior Pastor.
